*Lovely Journals*

I absolutely love love love journals.  I enjoy having something to write down my thoughts, or sketch out some ideas or patterns. I found a couple journals that I really like from Etsy to share with you guys.  The first one above is from Mechelle Designs. I love the tree design on the front!
The next one is from witandwhistle!  I love the pattern on the front of this one.  It looks like the perfect little notebook to toss in my purse.  So cute.

This one I'm a little bias on :)  Mom and I made these!  But honestly, I love them!  We use one to keep track of our expenses.  And the great thing about them, is that you can keep using the cover over and over!  It only costs a buck to replace the composition notebook on the inside.  We love them!
I also use one to jot down different ideas for our shop.  It's the perfect size to toss in my over-sized purse!
Lastly, here is an altered composition notebook from Tall Grass Design.  I love the colors in this notebook.  I also think the aged edges are simple and lovely!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day yesterday!  I hope it was the start of a great week!

  1. Hi Nicole,

Thank you for dropping by Merryville and for taking the time to say hello. I appreciate it.

I've only recently been thinking about making a journal. I was thinking maybe a garden/bird journal. Something simple to record when things are blooming, what the weather is like, and when my bird friends come visiting. Blogging has really opened my eyes to how lovely journals can be. You've chosen some lovely ones.

  3. Lena-
Using a journal to record events in a garden sounds like a great idea! I should try that next year. It would be so refreshing and relaxing.

    A Lost Feather-
I think I could be considered a 'journal collector' as well! I have multiple that are half-full. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. I am in love with the second one!!!
It may sound strange, but i'm not pretty sure what journals are for. *blush* if they are for writing lists, writing down notes so you won't forget something or drawing a quick sketh of your next drawing.... Then I keep a journal, too :))

    Have a wonderful week!
    Xoxo

    Lily-
I don't technically 'journal' either. I use all mine for jotting down ideas or sketching.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  6. these are all beautiful! lately I've been using boring old sketchbooks for my journals. While I was in Peru I could only find an unlined journal when I needed a new one, but then I got into the habit of making lots of charts and drawings and things in it, and now I can't go back to lines!

  7. Teacup Adventure-
Unlined journals are fun too. I love sketching and writing, too, in unlined journals.

    Thanks for stopping by!
