Happy Halloween

When I was younger, I dressed up as a witch on every Halloween.  With the exception of one year when I was an angel.  What made me want to dress up as a witch every year?  I'm not sure.  Maybe it was the magical powers, or maybe it was the pointy hat.  Year after year, my witch costumes would evolve, and they would become more and more distinguished and unique.
My Halloween weekend has been very nice and relaxing.  The weekend has been full of scary movies, crocheting, and walks in the park.

And tonight, the scary movies will continue!
Happy Halloween!

Snow Today

We had our first snow today.  Thankfully its not suppose to stay. It was a good day to make soup and craft for the afternoon. I'm currently working on a quilt in navy, gold, reds and greens. I have laid out all my christmas fabrics waiting for inspiration! Hope everyone has a great week.

Fall Colors

Can you believe it almost November?  Fall is heavy in the air today.  The colors are beautiful and inspiring. We started the day quilting and then moved on to developing fleece hats, because we all know that fall does not last as long as we would like.  Winter is on its way.
My favorite colors are those that many associate with fall.  I'm attracted to rich deep colors such as burgundy, brown, and rust.  My daughter calls them 'mom colors'.
Thanks for visiting! I'm excited about this new adventure!
